- Login to WHM.
- Search for “Security Center”, and click on “Manage root’s SSH”.
- Press the Import Key button.
- Enter some Name for this key in the first field.
- Paste the public key in the corresponding field.
- Click on Import.
- Note: One does not require the Password and Private Key fields.
- The next step is to authorize this key for the root user. In order to do this, go back to this option – Manage root’s SSH keys and then click on the Manage Authorization option.
- The last step is to click on the Authorize button. After this, you can login to your server as root using this key.
